ICH Photoreactors

Luzchem’s premier photoreactors. Originally designed to meet the requirements for ICH-compliant photostability chambers. They meet the ICH guidelines - "International Conference on Harmonization;Guidelines for the Photostability Testing of New Drug Substances and Products".

We offer both Option 1 and Option 2 chambers. 

Option 1 Chambers (Xenon Type): 

• Equipped with a powerful 300W xenon lamp, this ICH photoreactor provides broad-spectrum irradiation that closely simulates natural sunlight, making it ideal for studies requiring solar simulation or intense light exposure. 
• Includes customizable filters to tailor the wavelength and achieve the specific dose of irradiation required for your experiments. 
• A built-in power meter that ensures the delivered dose is accurate, providing real-time feedback and precise control over light intensity.
• An integrated recessed stirrer is optional

Option 2 Chambers (LZC Lamp Type): 

• Option 2 LZC-ICH2 is certified compliant with ICH guidelines.
• The ICH2 Photoreactor System offers both traditional and computer-controlled options, making it a powerful and flexible solution for diverse photochemical applications. 
• Designed with precision and safety in mind, this ICH2 photoreactor option is equipped with fluorescent lamps (type LZC) to deliver the exact dose of irradiation required for your experiments. 
• Includes a power meter to ensure accurate dosage, enhancing the reliability of your results.
• Holds eight side and eight top lamps. The default package includes 16 UVA and 16 visible light lamps providing controlled and versatile light exposure. 
• Features an integrated timer that allows precise control over irradiation time, while the carousel and turntable offer flexible sample placement for consistent results. 
• A recessed magnetic stirrer is included that ensures continuous mixing during reactions, while the bulkhead connector for gas and liquid inputs supports controlled atmosphere experiments.
• Equipped with a safe exhaust system that comes with safety goggles for secure operation. 
• A built-in temperature control, adjustable from 25 to 45ºC, enables accurate thermal regulation during experiments. 

The computer-controlled photoreactors use a USB interface. It automatically logs exposure conditions.  All exposure conditions are controlled from the software and parameters logged include exposure time and exposure dose.  The default package includes UVA and Visible lamps (16 of each), a safe exhaust system, a pair of safety goggles, an installed drive motor, a carousel, a turntable, and a magnetic stirrer.
