Luzchem Computer Controlled Photoreactors (CCP Series) provide automated light exposure systems for photochemistry, photobiology, and pharmaceutical stability testing. These systems combine the proven LZC photoreactor platform with integrated software control for precise management of irradiation conditions. Using a USB interface and dedicated CCP software, researchers can control exposure parameters, monitor light intensity, and automatically log experimental data. Two systems are available: the CCP-4V, designed for general photochemical research, and the CCP-ICH2, designed for pharmaceutical photostability testing compliant with ICH Option 2 guidelines.

Style: CCP-4V
The CCP-4V Computer Controlled Photoreactor is designed for advanced photochemical research requiring precise control and documentation of irradiation conditions. The reactor accommodates fourteen 8-W lamps arranged in six top and eight side positions, providing uniform illumination across the sample chamber. The standard package includes complete sets of UVA and UVC lamps, a calibrated UVA/UVC power sensor, carousel for liquid samples, turntable for solid samples, recessed magnetic stirrer, gas inlet connector, safety goggles, safety interlock, and a safe exhaust system. The system is supplied with a notebook computer running CCP control software, which allows users to manage lamp operation, stirring, timers, and sample movement directly from the interface while automatically logging experimental data.

Luzchem’s CCP Series Computer Controlled Photoreactors provide advanced irradiation systems that combine the reliability of LZC photoreactor hardware with powerful software-based control and data logging capabilities. These systems are designed for laboratories that require precise control of irradiation conditions and automatic recording of experimental parameters.

Each CCP photoreactor connects to a dedicated computer via USB interface, allowing users to control lamp operation, timers, stirring, and sample motion directly from the CCP software. The software enables researchers to set irradiation conditions, monitor lamp output, and record experiment data for later analysis or documentation. Irradiation parameters such as exposure time, lamp type, and measured light intensity are automatically stored in the system’s data log, ensuring traceability and reproducibility of experiments.

The reactors are equipped with features designed for laboratory photochemistry, including a carousel for liquid samples, a turntable for solid samples, a recessed magnetic stirrer, gas inlet connector, safety interlock, and safe exhaust system. These systems also include a calibrated optical power sensor that allows accurate measurement of delivered irradiation dose.

The CCP Series includes two models designed for different applications:

  • CCP-4V – A computer-controlled photoreactor designed for research applications in photochemistry, photobiology, and organic chemistry.

  • CCP-ICH2 – A computer-controlled photoreactor designed for pharmaceutical photostability testing and certified for ICH Option 2 compliance.

Both systems use 8-Watt LZC-Series fluorescent or LED lamps arranged around a closed irradiation chamber to provide uniform illumination of samples. Additional lamp types and accessories allow researchers to tailor spectral output and experimental configuration to their specific applications.

With automated control, integrated safety systems, and detailed experiment logging, Luzchem CCP photoreactors provide a powerful platform for modern photochemical research and regulated laboratory environments.
