Collection: Photoreactors overview

Luzchem sells 5 lines of chamber photoreactors.  LZC, LED, ICH, CCP and XL.  This is an overview of the main features and differences between the photoreactors.

LZC-1 Photoreactor with 8 top lamps

LZC line.  It offers 8 watt Fluorescent and LED lamps.  It has lamps from 235nm to 700 nm.  It offers, cool white, warm white lamps as well as a variety of narrow band colours.  The chamber can have side and/or top lamps.  Features included can be magnetic stirring, timer and temperature control.  Turntable or Carousel for even exposure of multiple or large samples.  All chambers include an hour meter, a gas inlet, a popout opening and safe exhaust.

Turntable for Motor Drive

LED photoreactor line offers 4 Watt LEDs.  However, these LEDs are fully dimmable so that you can control the light output.  Offered in a variety of visible ranges.  The LED photoreactor offers all the same features as the LZC line. The chambers have side and top lamps.  Features included can be magnetic stirring, timer, temperature control.  Turntable or Carousel for even exposure of multiple or large samples.  All chambers include an hour meter, a gas inlet, a popout opening and safe exhaust. Fluorescent lamps cannot be installed in these photoreactors.

ICH-2 photoreactor

ICH photoreactors are available for Option 1 and Option 2 of the ICH drug photostability guidelines.  The options 1 photoreactors are based on Xenon lamp technology and use a powerful 300W xenon lamp to expose samples to the required UVA and Visible doses.   The option 2 photoreactors are available in manual and computer controlled.  These use fluorescent lamps to meet the ICH guidelines under option 2.

CCP Photoreactor

Our line of computer controlled photoreactors (CCP) are based on the same chamber as the LZC line of photoreactors.  They offer all the same features however, the photoreactor is run through software.  Experiment conditions, times and details are logged on the computer.

Photoreactor XL interior

XL photoreactor houses 20 lamps and is a large volume photoreactor.  It offers temperature control and is almost 10 times larger than our regular photoreactor.  If you are doing large volume or a multiple exposures, this might be the tool for you.
