The Luzchem EXPO Exposure Panels are flexible irradiation platforms designed for experiments requiring controlled exposure to ultraviolet or visible light over a larger open area. The EXPO system is built around a modular panel design that allows researchers to configure the illumination system according to their experimental requirements.
Each EXPO panel accommodates six 8-W T5 LZC-series lamps, providing reliable and uniform irradiation across an exposure area of approximately 8 × 12 inches. The reflective interior and carefully designed geometry provide consistent illumination with typical variations of ±10% across the exposure area, ensuring reproducible experimental conditions.
The modular construction of the EXPO system allows multiple panels to be combined into a variety of configurations. Using the built-in mounting points and interconnection hardware, researchers can assemble multi-panel irradiation setups with up to six panels, allowing flexible experimental arrangements depending on the size and geometry of the samples being studied.
EXPO panels are compatible with the full range of LZC-series fluorescent and LED lamps, enabling users to select from ultraviolet or visible wavelengths depending on the experimental requirements. Available lamp options include UVC, UVB, UVA, visible, and several LED wavelengths, providing a broad range of spectral configurations for different research applications.
The panel housing is constructed from stainless steel with reflective aluminum behind the lamps, providing durability while efficiently directing light toward the exposure area. A built-in temperature protection system automatically shuts down the panel if the internal temperature exceeds safe operating limits, helping ensure safe operation during extended experiments.
EXPO panels are widely used for photochemistry, photobiology, photodegradation studies, ultraviolet curing, photocatalysis, contact imaging, disinfection, and accelerated aging experiments. With their combination of modular flexibility, large irradiation area, and broad wavelength compatibility, EXPO panels provide laboratories with a versatile and cost-effective exposure system for a wide range of photochemical research applications.
